classic organic Monterey Jack, a semihard cheese with a fresh, mild flavor.
A California original, Monterey Jack was originally made by Franciscan monks of Monterey, California during the 1800’s and later marketed by businessman David Jacks, hence the name Monterey Jack.
This organic version is a pale yellow semi-hard cheese, with a creamy texture and a mild flavor. Rumiano’s organic Monterey Jack color is a direct result from the high butterfat organic Jersey cow’s milk that it is made from. Rich Jersey cow’s milk also gives it a creamy buttery texture and mild flavor.
Organic Monterey Jack is a versatile cheese eaten as a snack with bread or crackers or used in cooked foods.
