Our pasture raised pigs are raised rooting happily within our fir tree forest. Supplementally fed fresh local grain milled on farm100% SOY-FREE and GMO-FREE. Hormone and antibiotic-free.

After their first few months of life inside the protection of their barn, our pigs enjoy a natural lifestyle of fresh air and exercise within the forested environment of our towering fir trees. They spend their days using their powerful snouts to search out their favorite weeds, roots, and grubs. 

Each week we rotationally graze our pigs to a new paddock of fresh, wooded "pasture", giving them new ground on which to forage. Our pigs love the exercise and entertainment, and the wide variety of natural forage that they ingest also significantly adds to the flavor of their meat.

The pigs stay happy, healthy, and odor-free as they grub their way through the woods. Their natural, piggy activities rototill the ground and distribute fertilizer throughout the soil, setting the stage for beautiful new grasses to grow and creating an even better environment for them to root through again.

When they aren't busy working, they're either eating their natural grain feed, fresh-ground on farm, or lazing under the shade of the trees.  ​​

Specific Breed of Animal?: Cornish Cross Meat Chickens, Blue Butt Hogs (Mostly York/Hampshire Cross), Black Angus Beef Cattle


Organic(certified or organic practices)?:We are not certified organic but we use beyond organic practices. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides or antibiotics or pharmaceuticals. We focus on natural health for our soils and animals not artificial fixes and chemical crutches.


100% Grass-Fed?: 100% Grass fed beef (raised on diverse pasture mix with hay during winter), Chicken raised on pasture moved daily (4 to 8 weeks old), Hogs raised in multi-species forest)


Where does your feed come from?:We grind our own feed and source most of ingredients directly from local farmers. This allows us to have better control over the quality and freshness of the feed and build stronger ties in the local food economy.


Non-GMO?: Yes. We do not use any GMO ingredients. We do this by not using high risk ingredients like soy and canola and only use organic/transition corn.


Soy Free?: Yes. All our feed & products are soy free.

Antibiotics used?: N/A

If yes, how long do the animals with antibiotics used stay out of the milking process or quarantined from the other part of the herd?: We do not use antibiotics in raising our poultry, pork or beef. On rare occasions we will use antibiotics on sick or injured beef which are then separated and not sold.

What type of things do you do to create a low-stress environment for your animals?: Stress is primarily caused by having high animal density, unsanitary conditions or mishandling of animals. We pasture our animals and always give them liberal space. With fresh air and fresh pasture to eat and sleep on our animals have no issues with stress or sanitation. We practice low-stress handling and moving techniques that work with our animals natural tendencies.

Any type of technology used that differs from a normal farm?: Our animals constantly move to fresh fields, forests or pastures. All our equipment is on wheels or skids and is portable. We are not stuck in one place with concrete yards like most farms. This is better for our animals' health as well as our soil. We don't have disease build up or bare areas around the animals housing, feeders or waters.

Free Range?: We are even better than free range. Free range only means access to outdoors usually from stationary housing. We pasture all our animals so that they continually moving to fresh new areas and green fields.

Anything else you can tell us about what you do specifically on your farm that makes you stand out or that you do differently?: Transparency. We believe that it's important for customers to know where their food comes from and who grew it. We offer farm tours through out the growing season so that you can come and see that we care about our animals' health and environment.
